    i did reenacting for 17 years in 49th NC/21st Mas.. Vol. Inf. have not been in the field since 150th gettysburg i still have dreams about reenacting i heard reenactingis coming back post-Covid and P.C. best cup i ever had was at 140th Spotsylvania Muleshoe dipped out of galvanized bucket

    Just tried this. Its really good. If you are hard pressed for butter, Tallow or Lard is a good substitute. Thank you for sharing this.

    The 14th Connecticut is my local regiment. The soldiers from my town, (Tolland) ended up in companies D & E. The New England Civil War Museum in Rockville Connecticut has a lot of great artifacts from the 14th.

    I love how this channel really goes above and beyond to use primary sources as much as possible. It brings the era back to life. It also makes me want to learn more about that person. I bet Edward Wade was a good man and great husband. His other letters are online and he survived the war!

    Some cool family history! I had a great x3 grandfather on my father's side who served in Company I of the 126th PA and was wounded at Chancellorsville. I also had a great x3 grandfather on my mother's side who also served in Co I of the 126th, he was killed at Chancellorsville.

    Word of advice, always wipe off and stuff your boots into the bottom of your blanket pile or sleeping bag. This prevents them from being freezing wet and covered in frost in the morning.
